Honorarium (fee includes three one-hour sessions):
The fee listed below is only the honorarium and does not include expenses which the hosting organization must pay for.
- $1,000 for school visits within Kentucky
- $1,200 for school visits to all other states
- $1,600 for conventions
Program Description
George Ella focuses on the writing process, journal
keeping, and how a book gets from her experience, thoughts, and feelings
to the library bookshelf. She shows slides of home and family--where she
grew up and where she lives now, commenting on how her books come from
this experience.
She brings many things to show the children--journals,
drafts, artists' sketches, and a display on the printing process. She
can also conduct a writing workshop for students and workshops for teachers
on how to teach writing.
